This house is located in Prospect Harbor, Maine, near the scenic Schoodic Peninsula. The house faces the ocean with gorgeous views across the harbor and out to the open ocean. The main portion of the house features an open floor plan consisting of a living room, dining room and kitchen anchored by an enormous stone fireplace together with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room. 

The house is connected via an expansive deck to a beautiful guest house with a small living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The deck runs the length of the two houses and overlooks the ocean and the Prospect Harbor Lighthouse. The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of midcentury modern, antiques, locally-made furniture, textiles and pottery. It has many amenities including: wi-fi and cable television, a gas grill, washer and dryer, firewood, kayaks and bicycles and is well-outfitted with kitchen gear.

The recreational opportunities of the Schoodic Peninsula are only limited by your imagination. Hiking, biking, kayaking, antiquing, golfing, fishing and picking blueberries are only a handful of the options available. The area also features many restaurants, lobster pounds and stores full of locally made hand-crafted products. Additionally it is easy to get to Mount Desert Island, either by ferry or by car as well as to all other popular “down east “ locations or you can head north on Rt.1 to the eastern most point of the United States, Lubec, Maine.  A quick bike ride or drive from the house is Schoodic Point Park a former Rockefeller retreat that is part of Acadia National Park -one of the most spectacular places in all of Maine.
